Uber was hacked today.

A reminder of how what we do is critically important.

Allegedly, an 18 yo hacker social engineered an Uber employee then logged into the VPN and scanned their intranet. He located a powershell script on a network share that contained an admin’s credentials and used them to exploit.

The company said on Thursday that it was looking into the scope of the apparent hack.

Times are tough. Even Walmart is selling fake hard drives to make ends meet 🤦🏽‍♂️

A cybersecurity researcher bought the same item from AliExpress and took it apart. Walmart removed the hard drive after Motherboard contacted the company.
