Often times a solution decision can be clear cut; it costs less, is faster, provides more or updated functionality, or lowers risk. There are times though when the risk evaluation gets a little, well, muddy.

Today we are going to discuss how people play into "people risk" and solution architecture, and how to work together with stakeholders to drive a positive outcome on a project.

“Risk” in the context of solution architecture risk refers to negative outcomes that might occur as a result of architecture decisions that do not have definitive outcomes.

I am fanatic about risk, but not because I am risk-averse (although I am). I’m a fanatic because solution architecture risk is such a powerful tool for a solution architect.
