Making a difference in NM on WIDA! For years, Randy Crisler, a Building Testing Coordinator in Gallup-McKinley County Schools, noticed a recurring theme during the WIDA assessment: the speaking portion was consistently the most difficult hurdle for his students. Too often, the data showed student responses were limited to just one or two words.

But this year, the script flipped.

After implementing Joy School English, Randy noticed a massive transformation in his students. They weren’t just answering questions—they were expressing their thoughts, explaining their ideas, and speaking in full, confident sentences.

Big news from Joy School English! 📣 An independent research study found that students who used Joy School English for 46+ minutes per week achieved 55% average gains on their WIDA ACCESS scale score.

Put simply: more time in the program led to more measurable progress. On average, consistent users showed the equivalent of nearly one full year of additional language development compared to peers.

The study also identified a strong correlation between usage and the proprietary SPARC Speaking Proficiency Score, indicating that SPARC is a powerful, reliable predictor of performance on English Language Proficiency assessments like WIDA ACCESS.

Because we feel passionate about education being the best way to break the cycle of generational poverty, we're giving back 10% to help kids in under-resourced communities around the world. Today we're super excited to officially announce our new "Joy for All" giving program!

Thanks to our valued customers and partners who share our vision, we're are able to bring Joy School English to the children around the world who need it most. With our "Joy for All" program, we can accomplish this in two ways—by donating 10% of all revenue in the form of free licenses, and 1-to-1 matching of donations from custom partnerships.
