Making a difference in NM on WIDA! For years, Randy Crisler, a Building Testing Coordinator in Gallup-McKinley County Schools, noticed a recurring theme during the WIDA assessment: the speaking portion was consistently the most difficult hurdle for his students. Too often, the data showed student responses were limited to just one or two words.
But this year, the script flipped.
After implementing Joy School English, Randy noticed a massive transformation in his students. They weren’t just answering questions—they were expressing their thoughts, explaining their ideas, and speaking in full, confident sentences.
