The last month has blown our hair back so to speak. We're stunned at the amount of people pre-ordering every day at an ever-increasing rate...eek it's so exciting!
We've not had any time to do any marketing, we've been heads down trying to make an exceptional service experience. Meanwhile Wiley has taken a life of its own!
*climbs on soapbox*
Now is the first time in humanity we have kids growing up in a world where they can have the whole internet placed into their hands. Over the years it has become crystal clear - parents don't want to give their kids smartphones.
Wiley's mission is to safely give kids the freedom to communicate with friends & family without a cell phone-based childhood.
We're not anti-screen, we're all for family Mario Kart & movie nights. Research shows it's not laptops, tv's, or smartwatches as the problem.
Kids today on average get their first cell phones around 11â12 years old, and FOMO grows as kids' peers get cell phones. Families end up battling kids addicted to cell phones with issues like mental health (anxiety, depression), cyberbullying, age-inappropriate content, and sleep problems.
Wiley's home phones are designed to give safe & adaptable calling options for kids of all ages to help extend childhood.
We've set up beta testers for Wiley and the kids themselves have been way more excited than I anticipated. We've heard stories of kids jumping up & down for joy. They are getting freedom. We've heard of one little girl making signs to put up in her neighborhood to start a dog walking business with their home phone number, stapling together their own hand crafted phone books, & about all the autonomy they get to call or get calls from cousins, grandparents, & even friends.
It really has meant the world for everyone's support and for people sharing with people they think Wiley could help...THANK YOU!
