It’s important to do a thorough look through of your equipment. If you don’t use it, don’t hang on to it. Sell it or give it, but get rid of it! It’s just taking up space.

Don’t be afraid to ask the Holy Spirit for help. Sometimes the simplest answer comes from inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Nothing is ever as simple as it seems. Never let the “can’t you just” become a distraction from what God is telling you to do.

I’ve heard it said that comparison is the thief of joy. If that is the case, instead of copying someone else’s setup for worship or production, we should only look to others for inspiration to make our setup better! No two churches should look the same in tech or production only in Spirit. One head many parts (Col. 1). Stop trying to copy other churches and start listening to Jesus and the Holy Spirit to become the unique part of the Body He called you to be.

One thing to keep in mind when building tech stacks is a mix between cost and long term benefits. Even if your system is not fully utilized yet, you may get there in the future and it may be worth the cost. Don’t just think solutions, think strategically and long term.

Spring is in the air: this is your new yearly reminder- you don’t need that broken light. You won’t ever get around to fixing that speaker. Throw it away. Budget new stuff in and move on.

Don’t just cram technology in without understanding the what and the why behind what you’re doing. Your solution may solve a problem but is it the best solution? Does it address all of the underlying problems? Without fully understanding the what of the problem and the why it needs to be solved, you will miss the Mark more than you hit it.

The biggest tech tip I can give any person at a church is to get to know the systems that you use. Spend time understanding every system and how it works. Throw some ChatGPT or Google search searching in the mix. Find creative ways to ask the same question until you understand every nook and cranny of every system that you use.
