The Type Directors Club exhibition returned to Jakarta for the third time as part of ADGI Design Week 2026 (Grafis'26 – ADGI Design Week 2026) at ASHTA District 8. Posters brought from New York were displayed alongside winning works from the latest TDC annual competition, showcasing typographic creativity from around the world.

Bringing an exhibition like this across the world is never simple, but the chance to inspire designers makes it worthwhile.

At the heart of Manhattan’s Upper West Side, Lincoln Square is one of New York’s great cultural destinations. We partnered with the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District to create a new visual identity and website inspired by the neighborhood’s unique urban geometry.

Rooted in Broadway’s iconic 30° diagonal cut through the Upper West Side, the new identity reflects Lincoln Square from every angle—capturing the energy, culture, and sense of place that make the neighborhood unique.

Some moments in history are best understood not by reading about them—but by physically experiencing them.

For the Museum of the City of New York’s “The Occupied City: New York and the American Revolution” exhibition, we designed The Toppling of King George III at Bowling Green—an interactive installation that invites visitors to work together to pull down the king’s 4,000-pound statue using a pair of real h**p ropes.

Behind the scenes, a custom digitally encoded pulley system generates haptic feedback, allowing visitors to feel the weight and resistance of the monument as they pull.

Rather than simply telling history, we wanted visitors to embody it—to experience the collective effort, symbolism, and emotion behind one of the defining acts of the American Revolution.

This project reminds us that the most memorable museum experiences happen when storytelling extends beyond the screen and into the body.

Design has the power to make us think—and feel.
When we activate the space between message and medium, design begins to reach its full potential.

Across these projects, we explore what happens in between—how people engage, perceive, and interpret a narrative within a designed environment.

This International Design Day 2026, we reflect on how design shapes perception by activating the space in between.

What if one object could live many lives?

Pug Bag (.nyc) is a sling designed for movement—and for pause. Built for city life, it transforms with a removable beanbag into something you can sit on, rest with, and come home to.

Designed in-house at KUDOS, Pug is guided by four core values: comfort, versatility, durability, and circularity. Every detail is intentional—from fabric sourced from excess production in Indonesia to a zero-waste pattern that ensures nothing goes to waste.

One object. Multiple lives. No leftovers.

This Earth Month, we’re celebrating design that considers longevity from the very first sketch.
