Over this off-season, I’ve had a lot of new people follow the page, so I wanted to take some time to reintroduce myself and share a little information about my photography—how to purchase photos and where to go if you’re interested!
My name is Mercede. I’m 22 and from southwest Wisconsin! I graduated from Cuba City High School in 2022 and received my Associate’s degree in Graphic and Web Design from Southwest Tech in 2024. My home track is Lafayette County Speedway, where I attend weekly to help my dad with his 9:1 Limited Late Model. In 2024, I started as the track photographer at the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway and am currently in my third season in that role. I currently shoot with a Nikon Z6II. In addition to weekly races, I try to attend other local events, such as Darkside Promotions specials, local MARS and WoO specials, and other events around the Tri-State area. My most notable events so far in 2026 include the Illini 100 in Farmer City, as well as the Scott Webb Concrete World of Outlaws event in Independence.
Since the beginning of the season, I’ve received many questions about whether I sell my photos and how to purchase them—the answer is yes! There are multiple ways to buy:
• Message me privately with the photo and event you’re looking for. If you’re purchasing a physical print, we can arrange a time to meet for pickup.
• Visit my website:
Search “Mercede Sweet Photography Zenfolio” on Google (it should be the first link).
Use the link in my Facebook bio.
Go to my Albums tab on Facebook, click the event you’re looking for, and use the link in the comments—it will take you directly to that event’s gallery.
Another question I often get is how I get paid and where the money goes when drivers or fans purchase photos. Track photographers typically do not get paid by the tracks we shoot at—we often just receive free entry. The only income comes from photo and product purchases.
Where does that money go? It doesn’t go straight into my pocket—it’s reinvested into the business. This includes purchasing sample items for new promotional products and upgrading equipment so I can continue to provide higher-quality photos with faster turnaround times.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to send me a message. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to see you at a local track soon!
