Thinking of adding a “Coming Soon” page while you redesign your site?

🚫 If SEO matters to your business, skip it.

Coming Soon pages may look polished, but they give Google nothing to work with: no keywords, no content, and no reason to rank you. In most cases, they hurt your visibility more than they help it, especially if you already have site traffic.

✅ Instead: keep your current site live and build your new version behind the scenes. It protects your hard-earned rankings and your credibility with clients.

If you’ve got kind words from past clients sitting on a hidden page (or worse, inside a rotating slider 👀), it’s time to give them an SEO glow-up. Here’s how to make testimonials work harder for your business:

✅ Place testimonials on your services pages. That helps your prospective clients and search engines associate real client feedback with what you offer.

✅ Ask clients to mention your service or location. A phrase like “custom kitchen design in Charleston” is SEO gold and more natural coming from them than from you.

✅ Skip the sliders. Use static text and sprinkle it throughout your website. Google can’t always read content in sliders, and real people tend to scroll right past them anyway.

Bonus: those same testimonials build trust with new visitors and help you show up in local search (especially if you’re using Google Reviews strategically).

Thinking about selling digital products or adding a shop to your WordPress site?

WooCommerce might be your new best friend.

Here’s why we love it for service-based businesses and creatives:
✔️ It blends right into your current WordPress site—no separate platforms to juggle
✔️ You can customize your shop to fit your brand and business needs
✔️ It's free to start and grows with you as your offers expand
✔️ You keep your SEO wins instead of starting from scratch

Plus, everything lives in one place from your blog and service pages to your online store which makes for a smooth, cohesive experience for your audience.

If you’ve been wondering how WooCommerce and WordPress work together (or just want to make your shop setup feel less overwhelming), we’ve got you.

“Is my sitemap even… doing anything?”
If you’ve asked yourself that lately—good news: you’re not alone.

Here’s the deal: your sitemap is like your website’s floor plan for Google. It tells search engines where your pages are, how they’re connected, and what should get discovered next.

Why it really matters:
✔️ Helps new content get indexed faster
✔️ Keeps your older pages visible and working for you
✔️ Makes sure bots can crawl deep sites without missing important stuff

If you have a WordPress site and you want to get found online, this is one of those small-but-powerful wins. Want to know how to check for your sitemap (and fix it if it’s missing)? We’ve got you.

Thinking about adding a shop to your WordPress site?
Let’s talk WooCommerce - a great way to start selling digital products straight from your website.

No separate platform. Just your site + this (free!) plugin.

Why we love WooCommerce:
✔️ Seamlessly integrates with WordPress
✔️ Gives you full control of your design + user experience
✔️ No monthly platform fees (just payment processing)
✔️ Scales with your shop, from 1 product to 100+
✔️ Perfect for creatives who already blog, educate, or share resources on their site

Plus, you’ll keep all your SEO wins instead of starting from scratch somewhere else. 🙌

Whether you're wondering how WooCommerce and WordPress work together or you're stuck choosing between Woo and Shopify… our latest post walks you through it all.

Your site looks beautiful… but is it slowing you down?
Literally. Like… in Google’s eyes 👀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because here’s the thing → more content = more SEO power, yes. But if your WordPress site isn’t optimized, all that content might actually be dragging your site speed (and your rankings) down.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s how to clean things up without deleting the content you’ve worked hard to create:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️ Remove old WordPress themes
✔️ Limit post revisions (you don’t need 47 versions of that 2019 blog post 🙃)
✔️ Declutter your media library
✔️ Compress images + minify code
✔️ Cache your site (we love NitroPack for this!)
✔️ Do a plugin audit
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A faster site = better user experience and a boost in SEO
Win-win.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📌 If “optimize your site” has been sitting on your to-do list… this post is your sign to tackle it (with step-by-step tips, no tech headaches).

Ever wonder how many images you should actually include in a blog post—for SEO?

Spoiler: It’s not just about making your post “look good.” It’s about making it work harder in Google search.

📸 Here’s the rule of thumb I follow:
– 1 image every 200–300 words
– Prioritize relevant, high-quality images
– Think beyond pretty — go for helpful, too

Some quick blog image SEO tips:
✔️ Rename your image files (no more “IMG_0923.jpg” 👀)
✔️ Use alt text that describes what’s in the photo
✔️ Compress those files so your site loads fast
✔️ Don’t overload the top of your post—spread them out!

If you’ve been hitting publish with just a feature image, this is your nudge to optimize what’s inside the post, too.
