AI isn’t risky. Unclear AI use is.
Most organizations don’t have a technology problem; they have a clarity problem. Employees are experimenting. Teams are testing tools. Data is being copied and pasted into platforms no one has formally reviewed.
“Safe AI” doesn’t mean banning tools. It means defining how they’re used.
When that direction is clear, something interesting happens. People stop guessing. Shadow AI slows down. Risk decreases without heavy enforcement.
AI governance is now a business function, just like security or compliance. The companies that treat it that way will move faster and safer than the ones still debating whether to address it.
