Want to build your web experience with a team that values creativity? This role could be a great fit!

We’re adding a new member to our web team. In this role you’ll work with several types of clients from small businesses to large organizations in education and healthcare.

This role is creative, technical, and customer facing meaning the ideal candidate should be comfortable working with a team of designers and developers to code and deliver fully-functioning websites that look great on desktop, smartphone, or tablet. You’ll work within a team to ensure the build aligns with client goals and then communicate the process directly to clients.

An understanding of WordPress, child themes, CSS/SCSS, HTML5, and web development troubleshooting is a must. Being able to custom code a WordPress theme is a plus!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Research and install pre-built WordPress themes based on client needs
• Develop custom solutions based on client’s needs
• Convert written, graphic, audio, and video elements into web compatible formats
• Maintain, modify, and troubleshoot WordPress websites
• Communicate with our team and clients to implement custom website content
• Manage the server where client websites are hosted

EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in OS X/macOS environment.
• Experience coding mobile and responsive sites
• Front-end development skills (HTML, CSS/SCSS, jQuery)
• Familiarity with WordPress structure and conventions, including child themes, plugins, filters, and hooks
• Advanced knowledge of website setup on servers
• Proficiency with server administration, DNS, cPanel, and WHM

KEY COMPETENCIES:
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-starter that requires minimal supervision but works well within a team
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects independently
• High degree of time management skills

BONUS POINTS – not required, but a definite plus:
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• Familiarity with PHP, MySQL, javascript, Apache including ‘.htaccess’, SVGs
• Experience with WordPress eCommerce solutions such as WooCommerce
• Basic understanding of SEO and Google Analytics
• Basic understanding of accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG)
• Experience with Joomla, Node, React, Codeigniter, Laravel, Angular, Python, and Perl.
• Understanding of Google Adwords management

LOCATION:
Our ideal candidate will work in-house at our Redding, CA office. Remote or contract work will also be considered. If you are interested in contract work please share your rate and experience.

COMPENSATION:
Pay rate is negotiable and will depend on experience.
