We’re thrilled to announce 12 new EV chargers live at The Venetian Condominiums in La Jolla, CA! 🎉⚡

Bringing EV charging to multi-family housing is no small feat—this project involved over two years of planning, permitting, utility interconnection, and installation. The Venetian is a bustling community of over 1,000 residents, including UC San Diego students, medical professionals, families, veterans, and retirees.

With this project complete, the community now features 20 EV chargers (covering ~3% of all parking spaces), with great potential for future expansion.
This project was made possible thanks to grant funding from the California Energy Commission’s Communities in Charge program and professional installation by the EVITP-certified team at Baker Electric! 🛠️🔌

⚡ Santa Barbara Clean Energy is moving to make EV charging more accessible in multifamily housing.

Through the newly launched Charge Up SB program, the City is offering free technical assistance and incentives that cover EV charging equipment costs for apartment and condo communities.
