End users are always the biggest risk to a network. This is because they actually have permission to be on the network. So many times companies will focus on technology solutions and skip the human solutions.

Sure, deploy your antivirus, EDR, IPS, etc, but make sure to train your users on what they should/shouldn't do. Teach them what phishing is, what it looks like, and how to avoid it. Make sure they aren't afraid to work with your IT (whether internal or external) to keep up to date on things.
