Bendu Armory has officially sunset sales. Current orders will be fulfilled and all warranties are still valid until expiration. We will have a fire sale for all left over product and equipment in the next 30-60 days once we wrap up all outstanding orders.

This business was started 8 years ago with the hopes of making something unique, exotic, durable, and fun.

What started as an idea in college and what grew in the second bedroom of an apartment, became a decent sized shop where there was opportunity for many local engineering student employees to learn about manufacturing and running a small business.

We do feel we owe everyone an explanation of why we decided to pack up sabers and move on to other things. We won't sugar coat it:

Making sabers is hard work with very little reward or profit when making stuff within the US. We depended on our loyal customers to support us over products from China.

But the industry started to rely on the Chinese manufacturing to make hilt & blades, and just like the Drone industry, these Chinese manufacturers saw they could make a lot of money by making their own companies and become dominant.

Now, Chinese saber companies drowned out US, UK, UE, and AUS saber companies with an army of drop shippers and thousands of ads to the point where even spending $500 a month on any marketing does essentially nothing.

Sadly, this trend is no longer sustainable.

We will always be grateful to all of our loyal customers throughout the years that helped us build Bendu Armory into what have become. We will miss a lot of you.

Now, we ride off into the sunset and on to other adventures.

🚨MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

Bendu Armory will be sunsetting all sales in 30-60 days. All current orders will be fulfilled. After which we will likely sunset all operations as we transition to a different industry. More to come. We will continue to honor all warranties until all active ones expire.

After we sunset, we will start selling off all left over product which will include sleeves, random blade sizes, and equipment.

🚨IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

Please read, this very important.

Over the last year or so, we have seen a massive decrease in sales regarding our sabers. We aren't the only ones; in fact everyone is hurting between the economy, terrible shows, and a flood of cheap chinese sabers and drop shippers.

So, that leads us to a hard choice we need to make. Our blades are our pride and joy, those aren't going anywhere. Let's be honest, we are a blade company that so happens to make carbon fiber sabers. Our sabers are unique and an acquired taste; there's nothing like them out there. But, because of the volume of sales we have for blades, it's been too hard to keep saber lead-times down.

That being said, we plan to sunset carbon fiber lightsabers next year and only take orders by requests only, and with a large price increase and with plans to eventually discontinue carbon fiber saber sales entirely in the distant future if the demand isn't there.

However, for any saber company out there or entrepreneur, we are open to someone purchasing the rights and manufacturing capabilities of the sleeves and our unique QuickSwap Core system, just send us a message.

Looking forward, we want to be everyone's go-to blade company and we want to focus all of our energy in even better blades, better lead-times, and some unique offering in that scope.

In conclusion, if you want a saber from us, now is the time to scoop one up. Im increasing our saber lead-times on all and future orders to 20 weeks so we can properly plan this transition.

As usual, lead-times are estimates and we do not guarantee your order will arrive in time for Christmas.

We are a small shop and only have so much help. Sending us emails about order status only slows us down. You’ll get your order, please be patient..

🚨MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

Hey Bendu Fans, Andrew here. We need to talk about prices and warranty.

This is a post I've been avoiding making for some time and we've tried everything we could avoid this. However, in order to keep offering you top notch products and to continue to operate, we will be raising prices on our products by 5% across the board starting January 1st 2025.

However, I want to offer you something more worthwhile with this increase by increasing our warranty. Starting now, our blade warranty will now extend to 6 MONTHS instead of 90 days. Our saber warranty will now extend to 18 months instead of 12.

So with that being said, I would take advantage of pricing now and during Black Friday before the increase takes effect.

🚨PRODUCT NEWS🚨

Due to the lack of demand and manufacturing complexities, the Feldspar and Andesite Shotos will be discontinued at the of October. Also, we have two sleeves ready to ship if you’re interested in some of the last ones.

Two new designs will take their place at some point in the future.
