THE SILENT WAR AGAINST PHONE ENGINEERS ⚠️

A lot is happening in our phone world, and if you’re a real engineer, you can already feel it.

Things are changing… and not in our favor.

Take a good look at FRP bypass — every day it’s getting harder. Updates after updates, tighter security, more restrictions. What used to take minutes now takes hours or even becomes impossible.

Then look at power banks…
Why so much gum?
Why seal it like something that should never be opened?

You struggle to open it, sometimes even get injured in the process. And even if you succeed, it won't look smooth again after you close it because you forced it to open it.

Simple question:
**What is wrong with screws?**

Why not make it repair-friendly?

Let’s be honest — this is not by mistake.
It feels intentional.

They don’t want repairs… they want replacements.
They prefer customers to buy new instead of fixing old ones.

And now, look at charging ports…

Before, even on a slow day, you must fix charging port. That was like bread and butter for many engineers.

But today?
When last did you fix one?

Almost every phone now uses Type-C. Even button phones have joined. It’s stronger, more durable, and customers benefit from it — no doubt.

But my concern is this…
**What happens to the engineers?**

We are gradually losing one of our most consistent sources of income.

And it’s not just hardware again…

Now even if you fix a phone very well, the phone can still reject your work.
You change screen — it shows warning.
You change battery — it reduces performance.

Take iPhone XR and some other iPhones for example…
You fix the screen perfectly, even use GX.

After some days, the screen will just start freezing for no reason.

Customer will come back — not to understand — but to accuse you.
“They will say you used fake screen.”

Meanwhile, you know the work you did.

Before, if you fix am, you don fix am.
Now? The phone still dey argue with you.

Engineers, we need to wake up.
I’m not saying this to scare anyone or push any wrong narrative. I’m just creating awareness so it doesn’t catch you unaware. Let’s grow with the change.
We must upgrade, adapt, and expand our knowledge beyond what used to work yesterday. Because the game is changing so fast.

Are you growing with the change… or the change is leaving you behind?

Who gets the better deal? I'd have to say the right handed cuz there are more right handed people than left by a large margin making the right handed pencils higher in demand! LMAO 😂🤣😂

A viral photo has sparked a debate over who gets the better deal. Curious about the results? Find out here!

I recently did one of these jobs and on a scale of 1-10 difficulty I'd rate it an 11. That is due to the difficulties and unnecessary hoops Apple has you do for this job as well as this video not being in depth enough to leave the normal laymen confused if NOT totally bewildered! I have many years of experience doing jobs like this so I did figure things out before a catastrophe ensued! Lol

Please be advised that Solid State Drives have all increased due to the increased need of them by data storage centers (OR so we have been told, LMAO). I bought a Crucial 1TB NVMe SSD back in September for around $75 it is now $115-same exact drive! AND that is a cheaper drive so make sure you need 500GB, 1TB, etc before making that purchase as we can hope these increases are short lived!

Keeping your computer maintained brings the possibility of a failure way down. This client lucked out as it was their cpu fan that gave out rather than ram, the processor, power supply, or even the motherboard that could have went bad! Get with me today and eliminate this problem as I work on both laptops and desktops. See this before and after. I put the after photo in a comment below. Thanks

It is most excellent being in Virginia! I was thinking we were in May already and students were having their last day of classes so soon......BUT that's another month away! LMAO BTW, I have a client with kids and was debating calling her today or tomorrow? So since there are classes tomorrow it will be better for her to pick up her computer. It had gotten knocked off her bed and one hinge totally separated from the bottom case and possibly cracked her screen! It did not! I opened it up and was able to replace screws that had fallen out and miraculously the cable was undamaged and I was able to reinsert it. Still has a corner ding on the lid but the screen is undamaged! I'll be charging her $75 for this and all the good news! AND that beats the hell out of the bad news it could be and the range to fix being $200-300 for sure!

Recently, I had a client bring in a custom built "gaming" computer that was built with the motherboard from a Dell XPS 8900. The problem was that it would not boot and came back with an error there was no hard drive installed. It turned out that I needed to rig connectors and do some soldering to wire the front panel connectors like this display has noted. I got his machine up and running within 90 minutes of him coming to me on a Saturday night.

I have just started the biggest job of cloning I have attempted yet! I have a 3TB external drive that is virtually full so it has about 2700GB of data on it. I am cloning it to a Toshiba 5TB drive I have just so IF there is a drive failure in the 3TB I will not lose the data. I started it at 930 this morning so let's see how long it takes????
