If the invitations set the tone, the wedding day paper is where the magic truly happens. ✨🐚 For Belly + Conrad’s Summer I Turned Pretty wedding, we knew every menu, every shell, every cocktail sign had to tell a piece of their love story. From hand-lettered seashell place cards to “The Belly-ni” 🍑 and “The Connie Baby” 🍹 signature cocktails, all the way to dessert (Junior Mint ice cream + Sour Patch Kids, obviously) — the details were coastal, romantic, and full of Easter eggs.

What you don’t see: us making my husband handwrite Conrad’s letters, debating which vintage stamp screams “soulmates,” playing musical chairs with hydrangeas on the floor, and yes… calling his watch a slutty little watch way too many times. ⌚️🌊 Because when Belly + Conrad finally say I do at Cousins Beach, every single Sour Patch Kid, envelope liner, and Taylor Swift lyric has to be just right. 💌

I teamed up with , and to design a suite packed with hidden easter eggs: infinity wax seals, July 4 RSVPs, even a watercolor of the beach house where it all began. 🌊🏡

Signature drinks, Cousins Beach style 🍑🍹✨ When it came to Belly + Conrad’s wedding cocktails, we had to sneak in nods to the show.

🍸 The Connie Baby — a pomegranate margarita, because “wet hair is so romantic” deserved its own sip.
🥂 The Belly-ni — peach purée + prosecco, because duh… that peach scene will live rent free in our heads forever.

Seashells, grilled chicken + lobster rolls, and a dessert table that screams Belly & Conrad 🍴🐚💙

✨ Gorgeous shells, hand-lettered by Deirdre of , welcomed guests to their seats in true coastal style.
✨ Conrad’s specialty: grilled chicken made the menu (because of course), right alongside Belly’s favorite—lobster rolls.
✨ And for dessert? A playful nod to their story: junior mint–infused ice cream bars + assorted Sour Patch Kids.

Where it all began. 🏡✨

When designing Belly + Conrad’s wedding invitations, we knew Beck’s Beach House had to take center stage. The place where summers unfolded, where love grew, and where their story truly began.

When we were dreaming up this suite, we knew would want it filled with hidden nods to The Summer I Turned Pretty. 💌✨

So, we put on our mastermind helmets (channeling our inner Taylor Swift) and hid a bunch of easter eggs throughout the design and flatlay.👀

Can you find them all?
• Infinity wax seal → their love is infinite (and a nod to the necklace ♾️)
• Wedding date: 8.8.26 → 8 on its side = infinity, and 2+6=8• RSVP options → Taylor Swift lyrics, obviously 🎶
• RSVP by date: July 4 → the date of their almost-first kiss ❤️‍🔥
• Address: Infinity Bay Road → because where else would it be?
• And of course, everything takes place in Cousins Beach 🌊

Allow me to introduce myself.

Hi there. I’m Kara! I’m a helicopter dog mom of two, wife, Hokie, artist and chocolate addict.

I grew up just outside of Richmond, Virginia in the strangely named suburban mecca, Short Pump. I graduated from Virginia Tech with a BFA in Visual Communication Design and have an addiction to Hokie football. I then went on to the VCU Brandcenter and received my master’s in art direction. I worked for five years in the advertising world before deciding to strike out on my own and start Kara Anne & Co.

What led me here was realizing that my true passion is using design to help individuals achieve their goals. Whether it’s designing stationery for the wedding of your dreams or the perfect logo to get your small business off the ground, helping people through design is what I love to do.
