✨ What's in my Bag? Wedding Content Creator Edition ✨

I use a lot more than just my phone when I do a wedding. To get better quality footage, I’ve invested in a handful of gadgets and gizmos. So if you’ve ever wondered what I carry with me on wedding days (or you’re thinking about getting into content creation yourself), here’s a peek inside my bag!

I use a CADeN Camera Backpack. I highly recommend! It’s sturdy, waterproof, and has removable padded dividers so I can customize the storage accordingly. Plus, it has lots of little pockets and straps for all the random essentials (water and snacks are important!)

✨ Phone Tripods - I carry two! My 10-inch tripod is perfect for keeping my phone steady for close-ups. My extendable 50-inch tripod is great for wider shots and longer-form videos.

✨ Magnetic Selfie Light - One of my favorite little tools! This snaps right onto the back of my phone and gives me portable lighting whenever I need it. It’s great for detail shots and late-night reception clips when the lighting starts getting tricky. Mine has three settings ranging from a soft warm glow to a brighter light.

✨ Gimbal - This is the secret weapon for those smooth, cinematic videos! A gimbal helps eliminate shaky footage and gives my clips that polished, professional feel.

✨ Wireless Mini Mics - These are a game changer for capturing audio! They connect directly to my phone and even have noise cancellation, so whoever wears them has their voice picked up perfectly. This is extremely helpful for ceremony videos.

✨ Portable Power Banks - To avoid a dead phone halfway through the day. I have one that plugs into my phone, and one that sticks magnetically to the back of my phone and stays out of the way while I power up.

✨ Instant Camera - Because who doesn't love a few commemorative Polaroids on their wedding day?

When I first created LightBloom Designs, my goal was to hone my web design skills while helping small, local businesses bring their ideas to life online. That mission is still important to me, but over the past year, LightBloom has grown in ways I never expected.

As I’ve learned and discovered new ways to use my skills, I’ve realized my passion goes beyond just websites... so, it’s time for a new chapter!

LightBloom Designs is now ✨ Lightbloom Creative Co. ✨

At its core, Lightbloom (little b 🤗) has always been about creativity, and I feel this new name better reflects everything I love to create, from websites and branding to graphic design and content creation. (Plus, isn't the pink + green so cute??)

I’m also excited to finally give Lightbloom the attention it deserves. I’ve been so focused on helping others grow their online presence that I realized my own little corner of the internet was overdue for some love. So, for the next little while, I’ll be refreshing my content and sharing more of the creative magic happening behind the scenes!

✨ Time for another Client Website Showcase! ✨

I’m so excited to share one of my newest launches, The Crow and Cat Bookshoppe 🐦‍⬛🐈📚

The Crow and Cat Bookshoppe is an indie pop-up bookshop traveling through the hollers and hills of central and southeastern Kentucky. Rooted in the Appalachian foothills and inspired by the legacy of the pack mule librarians, the shop brings stories, knowledge, and community directly to the places that need them most.

I had the pleasure of designing and launching the shop’s very first website in collaboration with owner Samantha (and her feline assistant!). The site balances simplicity with whimsy, featuring playful colors and patterns, a charming clip-art cameo of Crow and Cat (I also had the honor of designing their logo 🖤), and a streamlined online shop that allows customers to purchase books for delivery or free local pickup.

The final result is a simple, engaging website that supports both online sales and local connection, giving The Crow and Cat Bookshoppe a digital home that can grow alongside the business!

Getting to support passionate small businesses is the best part of what I do. I’m so proud of the heart behind The Crow and Cat and grateful to play a small role in its journey.

✨ It’s time (and we’re actually overdue) for another client website showcase! ✨

This time, I’m so excited to feature Kira Wilson Art. 🦋🌲

Based in the hills of Irvine, Kentucky, Kira Wilson brings local folklore to life through her whimsical, handcrafted creations, especially her signature Mothmen. And they are the COOLEST pieces ever!

When it came time for a website revamp, Kira reached out looking for a space that could truly capture the charm, magic, and individuality of her art. The result is a woodsy, nature-inspired website that pays homage to the Appalachian forests her cryptids call home.

Visitors can now easily explore her creations, learn more about her artistic journey, and shop directly from the site, bringing a little Mothman mischief into their own homes. I absolutely loved bringing this vision to life, and can’t wait to work with Kira on more projects in the future! 🖤✨
