Pelican Technologies was founded in 2005 in Dayton Ohio as a software development firm focused on RFID sensors and what would later be known as “the cloud”. ltinational corporations and Fortune 100 companies. As one of the founding members of the Dayton RFID Convergence Center, Pelican is committed to supporting local Dayton Ohio companies and doing its part as a member of the downtown Dayton community to promote the growth of other Dayton and Dayton Region companies. In 2012 Pelican created the TurnStone RFID Inventory Counting Tool. This system stores its information in a secure cloud and can be tied to other existing inventory control systems that don’t have an RFID component. Customers using this tool have seen a 90% reduction in reconciliation errors and a 12 fold decrease in the time required to perform an inventory. In the middle of 2014, Pelican launched Kestrel – Mobile Employee Assistant. This hybrid mobile device application and secure cloud interface gives companies with a mobile workforce oversight of employee location and productivity.
