QIF (Quality Information Framework) was elevated from an ANSI standard based on XML to ISO 23952:2020 in August 2020. DMSC is a member supported organization.

With MBD, it enables the capture, use, and re-use of metrology-related information in manufacturing. Digital Metrology Standards Consortium is responsible for the maintenance and updating of ISO 23952:2020 QIF (Quality Information Framework standard) as well as DMIS (Dimensional Measuring Interface Standard).
