Finished another original ballpoint pen rendering, exploring traditional drawing techniques, character illustration, fantasy artwork, figure drawing, expressive anatomy, and visual storytelling. Created entirely through pen, line, shading, crosshatching, tonal variation, and controlled mark-making, this piece brings together multiple characters and dramatic forms within a single illustrated composition.

I enjoy pushing traditional illustration beyond simple sketching and using ballpoint pen as a serious medium for developing texture, depth, movement, emotion, and atmosphere. Every character presents a different opportunity to explore gesture, anatomy, facial expression, clothing, hair, musculature, perspective, and storytelling through linework.

This artwork also reflects my broader approach to visual communication and graphic design—combining imagination, illustration, composition, character development, and detailed rendering to create artwork that captures attention and communicates an idea without relying on digital effects.

For this project, I was asked to create a 35-second promotional reel for Patrick Printing, a company that provides printing solutions and services for businesses in the B2B space. The goal was to create a short, engaging advertisement that clearly communicated what Patrick Printing offers while capturing the attention of potential business clients.

I approached the project with the idea that the reel needed to be fast-paced, visually engaging, and easy to understand within a short amount of time. I focused on highlighting the company’s printing capabilities and the value they provide to businesses, while keeping the messaging professional and accessible.

I developed the concept, organized the visual flow, and edited the reel to fit within the 35-second format. Each shot, transition, and piece of text was carefully considered to maintain the viewer’s attention and communicate the company’s services effectively.

The final result was a concise promotional piece designed specifically for social media and digital advertising. This project allowed me to combine storytelling, visual design, pacing, and marketing strategy to create an advertisement that represents Patrick Printing in a professional and engaging way.
