Now hiring Desktops/LCD technician @ Avenue Computers in Ypsilanti!

Do you like to work on pcs & lcds?

Avenue Computers is currently looking to hire an additional team member to head up our pc & lcds department.
You will be responsible for testing, documenting , configuring, loading windows on pcs. In the event the pcs does not function properly, you also will be responsible for repairing the computer if deemed economical. You will also test, document lcds as well as repair ones that are deemed economical to repair.
Once the product is ready for the customer, you may assist in packing it individually in a box or in bulk (on a pallet).
This position requires basic computer troubleshooting skills as well as basic knowledge of google sheets.
The applicant should also know how to install various windows operating systems ranging from windows xp to windows 11 from scratch and be able to install all drivers & updates in order to make
the pc ready for the end user. In addition, the applicant should know how to configure pcs and be comfortable changing ram/hard drives/cpus as well as basic troubleshooting of power supplies & motherboards

Responsibilities:
Test, document, label, & organize pcs and lcds
Configure desktops to order by customizing cpu/ram/hard drive/video card etc.
Troubleshoot and fix desktops/lcds that need repair
Install windows on several pcs at once using imaging software
Assist in cleaning & packing desktops/lcds
Fill in other positions when other team members are on PTO or sick
Other tasks assigned by management

Requirements:
Ability to multitask and track the status of multiple computers at the same time as they are loading/imaging
Ability to work in a warehouse environment
Ability to lift individual items that weigh up to 50lbs or move pallets using a pallet jack
Ability to stay organized
Able to work in a fast paced & team environment

Avenue Computers specializes in computers, parts, and electronic equipment, we are looking for an eBay expert to post and maintain our product listings as well as someone who can triage computers and help organize the warehouse as needed! Bring your ecommerce marketplace experience and join our growing team!

In addition to posting listings, you would be working in our retail storefront that will be opening to the public in the coming months as well as triaging computer equipment and helping organizing the warehouse. If you have retail or customer service experience this is an asset!

Job Responsibilities:

- Manage eBay account
- Drives sales on Ebay as well as storefront
- Revise and edit eBay listings
- Accurately list items with photos
- Write descriptions and list product details
- Perform quality control to ensure listings are correct
- Answer messages and offers on eBay
- Greet and assist customers in store
- Ring through sales at POS
-Audit/Triage computer equipment
-Assist with organizing the warehouse

Job Requirements:

- Must have marketplace experience
- Must have experience listing products on eBay
- Must have basic computer skills and knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong typing skills
- Excellent verbal and writ0ten communication
- Detail-oriented
- Organized
- Self-motivated and reliable
-Able to do physical type work ( lifting and moving up to 50lbs around with most items weighing less than 20lbs)
-Able to clean items to make them retail ready ( remove stickers, dirt, grim etc )

-Test computers & any misc items for sale for basic functionality
-Document inventory

-Pack Freight shipments ( shrink wrap & band pallets)

-Perform any other tasks assigned by management

Job Requirements:
-Basic knowledge of MS office, mostly Excel
-Lift packages & items that are up to 60lbs
-Do physical type of work on the daily.
(lift things to put them down!)
-Operate a forklift & Pallet jack
-Work in tight spaces and in a warehouse environment
-Good organization skills
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment that is very fluid
