Computers for a Cause

Computers for a Cause I offer low-cost computer repair and training, and give 20% of all gross income to humanitarian charities.

I also work on home networks, printers, TVs and other personal devices, though I do not do hardware on anything but computers at this time.

Need a crash course on how to use your computer, phone or printer? I can do that too!

Remember that what you see on any device is only a fraction of what's actually happening. It's okay not to understand it, just trust that the device is doing exactly what it's been told to do at all times.

Top Five Troubleshooting Steps for any device:

1. Turn the device on and off! Often times resetting the system is all you need to get things working in proper order again.

2. Restart the program or network that's malfunctioning. See above!

3. Wait it out. We live in a world of instant gratification. WAIT! Your device may just be going through the motions a bit slower than you like. Trying to force it could just make it worse!

4. Look it up online. If you're having a problem, dollars to dimes someone else already had it. You don't have to be technically savvy to type your problem into a search bar and then read forums and articles, or even to follow through on the steps therein!

5. Call for help! We charge $15 an hour or $45 for a short-term check-in. Just saying ;)

Well we didn't get any business this last month but that's okay, I might've lost my mind if I had computer problems on top of all the Christmas stuff. That said, if you want to give me a pity share I will take it!!

This month the Cause will be International Justice Mission in honor of Human Trafficking and Slavery Awareness month. These guys are amazing from their courage to their stats, if you are interested in learning more please take a look at their website below.

Traffickers and oppressors can freely abuse children, women and men without fear of punishment – but not when people like you step in. Give vulnerable people the safety and freedom they deserve.

I kept forgetting to update the charity of the month except when I couldn't! Yikes...
In honor of veterans it will be the wounded warrior project for November.

I’m empowering warriors to live life to the fullest through my donation to Wounded Warrior Project. Make an impact with me!

Happy October! Man it got cold fast where I am. Hope you all are staying warm elsewhere!

The organization that Computers for a Cause will be donating to this month is AIM (Agape International Missions). They work with freeing children from sexual slavery and are just amazing. I'll put the link down below so you can see about them:
