I’m deeply saddened by the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision that allowed for a web designer to refuse a same-sex couple a wedding website. This, along with other decisions that allow people to deny services for same-sex couples is the reason I have this statement on my website and will continue to be an ally.

At Peppergrass Design Studio I work with businesses that represent all walks of life. I fully support BIPOC, woman owned and LGBTQ+ businesses. I will not work with any company/person that supports hate and/or discrimination based on race, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, status as a parent, sexual orientation, or pregnancy.

I’ve made this downloadable label for Aunt April’s Old Fashioned Lemonade and wouldn’t you know it… it fits on a Snow’s Clam Juice bottle perfect! 😉

This fun annual appeal was for Red Fox Community School. Their theme was around the solstice and the return of the light. We created a piece using watercolor images representing the school's campus. The snowy woodscape turns into Mt. Equinox and the flurries turning into sunrays. I really loved using this imagery throughout the appeal process - everything from the send envelope to the thank you note included related watercolor graphics. Really excited to work on this animation for Smokey House Center with the very talented Laurie Brooks from Toad in the Hole Studio (Wayward Goose Farm) recently. Her artwork was used in SHC's fall annual appeal campaign and it was so fun to make it come to life with this reel.

What a joy to help design these three new single covers for singer/songwriter Maxine Linehan These songs each have a different feel as reflected in the designs I came up with. You Do You is an electrified pop single, You Don't Know Me touches on the softer side of being misunderstood and Christmas Candy is a fun holiday medley.

Maxine is a true rockstar and if you haven't checked her out, what are you waiting for? Christmas Candy came out today, go take a listen on her channel today.

I love the things I get to learn about while doing my job… in the past month I’ve been able to photograph a lighted tractor parade, kids sitting around a campfire sharing what they are grateful for, an artists latest print in preparation for merchandise, a presentation on bees, a Vermont Transportation Department snowplow, ducks on a snowy pond, a US veteran discussing his time on a Navy submarine for Veteran’s Day, and today the Vermont Tracking Clubs AKC sanctioned Tracking Test happening at . Pretty neat!

‘Tis the season for giving!

Annual appeals are showing up in inboxes and mailboxes worldwide and there is a good reason- many of these nonprofits rely on support from members and constituents to operate and continue the good work they do.

I love working on annual appeals that help showcase the clients needs and theme for the year. Most appeals include themed letter, any postcard additions, remittance envelope, send envelope, and matching thank you letter.
