Did you know??! When you shutdown your computer you might not be shutting down your computer!! By default, Windows has an option called fast startup enabled. When you shutdown, fast startup takes all the active processes and stores then on your hard drive. Then when you turn your computer back on the system grabs those processes and continues them from when you “shutdown”. When fast start is enabled only a restart will put your computer back to square one. Which is a healthy function of your computer. Restarts really do work!! If Windows 10 fast startup is not something you want to be enabled, you can disable it with relative ease.

Apple will be having their September 2022 keynote tomorrow at 1PM Eastern. While they are always tight lipped about the tech that's coming out, if history tells us anything, we will be getting info on new iPhones, Apple Watches, as well as the latest version of iOS and iPad OS. Hi. I’m JJ. For as long as I can remember when someone gave me something electronic I would try and take it apart. From TV remotes, to remote control cars, and eventually computers, I wanted to see how everything was connected. I’ve had a passion for two things throughout my life, helping others and computers. My first job was in customer service, I’ve been an EMT for 23 years, and I finally followed my life long passion in the tech world 6 years ago as the company ‘go to IT guy’. By starting Command Line Computer Services LLC my wish is to continue to be the ‘go to IT guy’ for the general public. Assist those in need when their computers or other devices aren’t working appropriately, and educate those in the safe and proficient use of their devices.
