IMPORTANT: Changes made to the B2B process!

Due to the higher than normal volume of mail ins we are handling, we have implemented some new policies. These will be accessible in the TOS that is accepted when filling out our B2B mail in repair/recovery form.

The B2B price list also includes an updated description on the first page showing a small change in our policies.
A deposit will be paid towards all repairs/recoveries once they arrive. This will go towards the final invoice. We applied this for many reasons, mostly because we have so many devices that we need to get paid regardless. I make sure to give it 100 on each and every device, so there is no reason I shouldn't get paid for that time. The shipping labels are provided by us as well.

😩 This is turning into a common fault for this model and similar model iPhones (North American version) where the Millimeter Wave Antenna Module, conveniently nestled into the side of the housing is getting liquid damaged very easily.

📶 The 5G ultra Wideband Antenna or as Apple named it, the “Millimeter Wave Antenna” is not installed on international models. This module is for boosting the 5G UW signal which is an uncommon type of 5G signal that boasts incredible speeds and connection far superior to LTE or even 5G alone.

⚡️ The antenna module tucked away on the side of the frame is not well insulated or protected, thus making it highly susceptible to damage from liquids and even moisture.
It connects to the Radio Frequency part of the logic board via a flex cable that is soldered to the logic board, and plugs into a connector on the other end for the antenna module itself. The connection to the antenna module is where the damage and corrosion happens. This in turn causes the connector to melt and bridge together circuits that should not be touching each other. This causes a filter to blow which sends power to the antennas circuit. It essentially leaves the circuit incomplete, and in this case led to no signal at all.

🚀 This is one of the least common faults to come from the 5G module getting corrosion. The most common is complete loss of power, the device will not turn on at all, due to one of the main power circuits running through that flex cable. It touches a ground connection and leaves the device totally inoperable.
Removing the 5G flex from the logic board will usually be enough to clear the short and restore power and full functionality to the phone. It just wouldn’t connect to Ultra Wideband networks without replacing the flex and antenna with working ones.

🔥 In severe cases it can even cause the phone to heat up along the frame until it shorts itself out.
We see alot of issues caused by this particular design.

😅🔥📶 In this case we ran jumpers and a filter from a donor board to restore the burnt pads.

⬇️ If you have seen this drop a comment below. If not, let us know what your thoughts are about this design flaw!

🚫This iPad Pro 11” 1st generation a2013 was not charging.

😮‍💨Client replaced the battery, and charge port to no avail.

📲I got it open and checked the charging current which was only 5 volts at 100ma and wouldn’t even show anything when flipped over. 🥺

⚡️Measuring the charging circuit there was a short leading to hydra, as well as the CD3215 which should output 20 volt’s was also on that line so I replaced them both. As well as the Yahgtze chip which wasn’t on that circuit but is responsible for charging.

🔌 This happens when the incorrect charger is used for charging the device, or damage to the inside of the charge port causes circuits to touch each other that are not supposed to, and damages the chips and more!

❤️💕 We love these repairs and educating our customers on the importance of using the designated charging blocks and cables with proper voltage and amperage🔋

Rest assured that when we are repairing your devices, they get treated as if they were our very own!

🥽 The Front Facing Camera always gets lens covers immediately upon removing the screen, to make sure no dust or debris can touch the lenses!

📸 If the rear camera has to come out, it gets the exact same treatment!

Just one of the many things we do to go above and beyond for not just our customers but the B2B devices as well!

And just like that we have access to data. Looks like a full repair also!

We are now using a separate website for regular repairs for the local community and mail ins for those types of repairs, and one for Data Recovery and Advanced Board Repairs.

I’m working on getting the ones from DRS that are still open in the queue moved over to the new site so please go make an account there if you haven’t yet and have repairs in queue on the other website, or if you just want to check it out and give us some criticism and feedback that would help a lot! It’s still in what we shall call “beta” ‘mode.
