Ran into an unexpected issue with Samsung NVME drives last week (yeah, seriously). Things are back on schedule and it appears our drive issue is resolved. We were experiencing a 90% failure rate on brand new Samsung units — after further research (see the long thread on hackernews) this appears to be a widespread issue; possibly with Samsung’s nvme fab? We’re hoping to get units out the door today or Monday.

Finally getting there. Ten months felt like ten years. Thank you all again for being patient.

I’m case you missed it, our enclosure factory had a problem with some of the aluminum faces and rather than face further delays and toss the aluminum into the “recycling” bin, we asked if they could just powder coat the blemished aluminum faces black — we aren’t done counting but there’s supposed to be 50 of these. After being stuck in customs for over 3 weeks, they’re finally here as of about 30 minutes ago. So much for taking a break for the holidays 😳 — thank you all for your patience. We’re slowly getting there!!!
