This message is for our rivercrest customers. The TV antenna tower at the front trailer seems to be swaying back and forth. The signal for the dish that brings the internet into the neighborhood keeps dropping randomly to almost nothing. This would only happen if the tower was swaying. If the dish was misaligned it would stay misaligned and not come back. I'm going to see if I can have my tower guy repair it as it's the only tower we can mount the dish to in that area. I'm guessing at some point during one of the storms it got damaged or loosened up at one of the joints. In the meantime you may randomly experience very slow internet or short outages especially when it's very windy.

I just want to say thank you to all of our customers. You guys have all been great during these storms and outages that we've had this summer. We really appreciate everybody's patience and understanding. It's come to our attention that some of our customers have subpar service because of older dishes or routers. Some of you may assume that it's the best we can do, but we can always do better for our customers in most scenarios. If you have any trouble streaming TV or movies, this is not normal. Our speeds are way over the necessary bandwidth you would need to stream any kind of TV in any quality. Most of our customers could stream on 5 plus TVs at the same time. So if you're having any issues streaming, gaming, work from home phone calls, or anything else please let us know. There is no reason that you shouldn't be able to do these things. If you can't it points to an issue that maybe we can't see. An out-of-date router, older equipment, a bad or intermittent signal from our tower, or something else. You are welcome to comment right on this post and tell us how things are going for you good or bad. And if you know anybody that doesn't follow us on Facebook, please let them know about this post and tell them to reach out to us if they're having issues. Also I will be making appointments with all of our customers in the fall to test everybody's system one by one and make sure that it's up to our standards. Be expecting a phone call from me within the next few months, so that I can run some tests and make sure you are getting the service you deserve and pay for. Thanks again to everybody, we really appreciate your business and you are all very important to us. The picture on this post is around what most customers should be able to expect to get on our top tier package. If you want to test yourself go to fast.com and see what number you get on your system. People paying $65 should expect to see 35 to 50, people paying $80 should expect to see between 70 and 80, and people paying $100 should see around 100.

I just wanted to let people know on the Herscher Tower, I'm working on a frequency issue I just discovered and I may be rebooting some of the access points randomly over the next 20 minutes. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but I'm trying to improve the service for a group of customers on the tower. It shouldn't take longer than 20 minutes. Thank you for your patience.

Apparently there is a power outage at the Herscher Tower. This would affect customers in rivercrest Herscher Irwin chebance in Clifton. I don't have an estimated time for it to be fixed at the moment, but I am driving out there to check it out to verify that there's not a breaker blown or something. Sorry for the inconvenience. Storms.

Okay well I drove out to St Anne at 10:00 at night to make sure there was power. There was power and I had two phone calls with Comcast. They told me that there was nothing wrong with the Internet or the fiber optic in our area and that the issue was local. So they were blaming it on us. I told them that all of our equipment was up and working it just couldn't communicate with the internet, and they scheduled a tech to come out in the morning. Shortly after that conversation the internet came back. I'm so sorry to our customers for the inconvenience, but everybody has to get their internet from somewhere including us. So we depend on Comcast fiber to be reliable in St Anne. I do have to give them a little leeway because of the storms that we've been having, it's been a very bad year for that. Are fiber from Comcast comes from Chicago and there was a few tornadoes up north that probably caused this issue. Sorry again for the inconvenience I hope the internet is more consistent for everybody in the future.

There is either a power outage in St Anne, or comcast is down again. I'm sure with all the storm damage that happened up north they are currently working on something that caused either the internet or the power to go down in St Anne. Honestly we would be the most reliable internet service in the world if it wasn't for Comcast and ComEd. I know this is getting old, but this has been the worst year in my 22 years working for satnet as far as storms and whatnot goes. Hopefully they get their issue solved soon.

The wind on that last storm misaligned the dishes that feed internet to Martinton. We can't get a break this year with the storms. The link to Martinton Tower has a bad signal now. I'm going to have to find time to climb it in between the rain. I'm hoping later this afternoon. Sorry for the inconvenience. This would effect Martinton, Papinaue, and Danforth.

I'm pretty sure Comcast is done fixing the issue, so everyone should be back up. If not please call me at 815-351-8293 if you're still experiencing issues. Again we are so sorry for the inconvenience, and we all hope that Comcast and ComEd have figured out all the issues they've had this summer and have permanently fixed them. I know this year has been rough as far as out of just go for the customer, and we apologize for that. We are working on backup power supplies for our towers so at least we can deal with the ComEd outages.
