Buying colocation? Here's what actually matters.

Start with power.

Not the nameplate rating, your real draw and room to grow. Most buyers overspend by ordering capacity they'll never pull.

Then connectivity.

How many carriers are in the building, and can you reach the public clouds directly? Determine your bandwidth requirements and carrier preference.

Then redundancy.
