When a website design doesn't match the beauty of what it's representing, it can be difficult to target the right audience. That's what was happening with the Barn at Paso Fino. Their old site design didn't match their overall aesthetic, it had a confusing layout that made the user think too much about their next move, and the readability issue opened them up to a law suit.

The new design has a complete identity that represents the beauty of the venue. This helps users feel the ambience and the potential that this venue has to offer them before they even step foot on the property.

This amazing team came to me with a passion project. They wanted a brand that had the "North Star Symbol" as well as a unique presence in this market. North Star Haptics are building custom haptic devices for those working from their computers daily, individuals with unique needs, as well as the nerds that like a specific "thunk" of their keys.

This brand was built to be versatile and carry that custom feel.

Now we are working through their new site build where they will be selling prebuilt-badass keyboards. For now, check them out and get stoked.

I happened upon Magic Bread in a networking group of mine. They have a lot of passion for their product, but their website is killing their credibility.

Their site isn't ADA compliant, which opens them up to a lawsuit, the products are difficult to see, and the overall structure of their site is confusing. This rebrand and site redesign was a quick 30-minute challenge, but the changes would significantly help their conversion and overall user experience.

I've been going over the brands I've developed throughout the previous few years and I'll be posting my favorites over the next few weeks.

Cuyuna Energy was a definite favorite of mine. They approached me needing a brand that stood out in their market while maintaining a professional and unique look. They indicated wanting a rustic brand that related to the industry, without featuring the overused lightning bolt.

Their primary logo features the sunburst behind the Edison bulb (chosen for historical reasons) and the pattern in their brand is based on solar panels. This brand provided a unique look for their company, but maintained a professional edge.

Empathy mapping is an incredible important aspect of filling understanding your target audience. What are their pain points? What do they want to feel? How do they react?
