Salem Repeater Association
2021 SALEM HAMFAIR CANCELLATION
After much thought and with a heavy heart, the Salem Repeater Association has elected to cancel our 41st Annual Salem Hamfair and Electronic Swap Meet scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2021.
Salem Hamfair is the first Ham Radio Swap Meet in the northwest every year and is Oregon's biggest and best one day event but due to the high number of Covid-19 cases in Oregon, Washington, California, and the other surrounding states, we have decided that the safety of our volunteers, our vendors, our spectators, and the fairground's staff is number one. A large percentage of our participants are in the high-risk category and we do not want to put these people or anyone else in a position that may compromise their health and safety.
SRA is a non-profit group with five repeaters dedicated to serving the public with Emergency Radio Communications and General Ham Radio use for Salem, Oregon, the Willamette Valley, and much of the area east of Salem and west out to the Pacific Ocean. These repeaters are 145.33, 146.86, 147.02, 441.275, and 443.725 Mhz.
Proceeds from the Hamfair help to pay for ongoing maintenance and upkeep of our repeaters and maintain their reliability for times when emergencies occur.
If you enjoy using our repeaters, we would like to invite you to become a member for only $20 per year for your entire family.
Please check our website at http://www.w7sra.com for further information on this and upcoming events.
SRA fully expects to be back up and running for our next Salem Hamfair scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2022, so please stay well and we hope to see you all again at that time. Thank you!

After a long period of being offline, 147.020 is officially back in operation. The old Motorola MTR-2000 has been replaced with a new Motorola SLR-8000.

Radios are a great resource during disasters. 📻 When cell towers and internet are down, radios will continue to receive emergency alerts and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weather alerts.

A big shout-out to Ham radio operators and all they do to support emergency communications! 🔊👏
