The Department of War recently delayed a future requirement that would have made some defense contractors get an outside review before winning certain contracts.
Some companies may see this and think, “Great, we have more time.” Not so fast.
If your business is already handling government information or wants to compete for defense contracts in the future, you’re still expected to follow the security requirements that apply to your business today.
The delay simply pushed back one milestone. It did not eliminate the responsibilities.
