A sneak peek at our Titan MPI project. The release is scheduled for February 2026.

The Titan MPI is a multipak interface (MPI) for the Tandy/Radio Shack Color Computer 1-2-3.

Pictured above is the completed edge card and slots schematic.

Highlights of the Titan MPI:

Completely open source – Schematics, Gerbers, and BOM will be available for download. You can build your own Titan MPI. This also allows people outside the United States to order the PCB and components (and sell Titan MPIs) without paying tariffs from the U.S.
Similar to the CoCo SDC Kit, a Titan MPI DIY assembly kit will be available at BoysonTech. The kit will include options for a 3D case.
Except for the +5V voltage regulator(s), all components will be DIP (through-hole).
Based on Radio Shack’s 26-3024 MPI. Some components were changed for space requirements; the 74LS367s were replaced with 74HCT541s.
Four slots with a slot selector switch, power LED, power switch, and gold edge connector.
No real-time clock (RTC)… sorry 😊

Just like Radio Shack’s 26-3124 MPI. There is no -12V or +12V power; the -12V and +12V pins were removed from the Titan MPI edge card.
Black ENIG PCB, plus an individual serial number on the silkscreen.
I will be on CoCo Nation this Saturday, November 1st, to answer any questions and to give an update on the upcoming re-release of the 2Meg Boomerang, scheduled for Christmas 2025.

BoysonTech is excited to announce the release of three new products: the Paragon Joystick Adapter, the Boomerang 512K RAM expansion board, and the Complete CoCo SDC drive emulator.

The Paragon Joystick Adapter allows you to use a digital Atari or Sega Genesis joystick on an analog joystick port on all Tandy/Radio Shack Color Computers, Tandy 1000, and Dragon 32/64 (note: Dragon requires a 5-pin DIN adapter cable, which is not included). This adapter is the smallest joystick adapter available in the retro market, fitting inside the hood of the DB9 connector. The design is adapted from an article in Hot CoCo magazine from the 1980s and CoCo Wiki. The Paragon Joystick Adapter is priced at $23 each.

The Boomerang Classic 512K expands your Tandy CoCo3 from 128K to 512K. This board uses newer SRAM, which consumes far less power and generates less heat than dynamic RAM. Previously sold by BoysonTech in 2020, it was renowned for its small footprint, reliability, and affordability. The Boomerang Classic 512K expansion board is priced at $24.

The CoCo SDC is now sold by BoysonTech as a complete unit, not just a DIY kit. Due to the lack of a U.S. supplier and uncertainty with US tariffs, BoysonTech purchased over 50+ SDC cases from John Strong. The CoCo SDC unit stands out with its ENIG black PCB solder mask, gold PLCC, and 28-pin DIP socket. The SDC card reader, custom-made by BoysonTech, uses the same PCB color, as no one else makes SDC card readers in black. The CoCo SDC is priced at $85.

Do you remember the Heath Kits from the 1970s and 1980s, which allowed users to assemble electronic kits from pre-packaged parts using a step-by-step guide? BoysonTech is pleased to introduce the CoCo SDC kit. This kit offers the same popular CoCo SDC units previously sold by Retro-Rewind, Ed Snider, and once by BoysonTech.

The CoCo SDC DIY kits will be available for shipping on Friday, June 20th, 2025. These are comprehensive kits (excluding the SDC case) that include the following components:

• Pre-assembled SDC card reader with black solder mask
• Pre-programmed Xilinx CPLDs
• Pre-programmed SST 128K flash chip
• Pre-programmed Atmega328P Atmel chip
• Gold-plated PLCC sockets
• Gold 28-pin precision machine DIP socket
• Dual wipe 28-pin socket (for individuals who prefer this type)
• Gold-plated ENIG board with a 30-degree beveled edge card
• Resistors, capacitors, slide switch, and additional components
• Step by step video guide on soldering the SDC Kit.

Please note that the SDC case is not included. You may fabricate one using a 3D printer or purchase one from John Strong.

These kits will be available exclusively for a limited time, with an initial stock of 100 kits ready for immediate shipment commencing Friday, June 20th, 2025, at BoysonTech.com. These kits can only be purchased from our online store at BoysonTech Store. There will be no pre-orders, and they will not be available on eBay.

The cost of each kit is $48 plus applicable shipping and sales tax (from San Antonio, Texas). We offer worldwide shipping. International orders may incur tariffs, which are the responsibility of the purchaser. Shipping rates and taxes will be automatically calculated by Shopify, excluding any potential tariffs.

Get an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming re-release of BoysonTech's Paragon Joystick Adapter!

This adapter allows you to use a digital Atari 2600 or Sega Genesis joystick on the analog joystick port of a Tandy Color Computer 1, 2, 3, Dragon (with an adapter), or most Tandy 1000 computers.

This compact board, measuring just 14mm x 16mm, is populated entirely with SMD components and fits perfectly inside a standard DB-9 hood.

Not only is it the smallest joystick adapter on the market, but it also features a machine-made DIN-6 connector.

We've upgraded the design by replacing individual resistors with resistor arrays and adding 5-volt support on both pins 5 and 7 of the DB-9 connector.

In the photos, you can see a ge**er view on the left and a microscope view of the dry fit components on the right.

The release date is anticipated on or before July 4th, with the price yet to be determined.

Starting June 1st, you can sign up for notifications and sales information for the Paragon Joystick Adapter at BoysonTech.com .
