A lot of what a designer does is work you’ll never actually see.

Behind every door, light fixture, piece of furniture, bathroom, and kitchen are dozens, sometimes hundreds, of decisions being made to ensure everything works together beautifully. We think through the details, solve the problems, and keep the bigger picture in focus so our clients don’t have to carry the weight of every decision themselves.

Because good design isn’t just about making a home beautiful. It’s about making the process feel easier, too.

Design Details We Love | Eastbluff

Sometimes the details that make a room work best are the ones you don’t immediately notice. In this living room, we wanted to create plenty of comfortable seating without overwhelming the space, which meant thinking carefully about every inch.

Two custom sofas were designed to face one another, paired with a narrow custom cocktail table that gave us the function we needed while preserving an easy flow through the room. From the depth of the upholstery to the placement of each piece, scale and proportion were considered from the very beginning.

Custom built-ins, upholstery, pillows, and greenery brought in the final layers, creating a space that feels collected and personal, but still beautifully balanced.

Some of our favorite primary bathrooms started with a completely different floor plan.

Rethinking the layout gives us the opportunity to make better use of every inch, improve how the space functions, and create something that feels considered from the ground up. From there, it’s about finding the right balance between the architecture of the home and the client’s personal style.

Traditional, transitional, quiet neutrals, bold colors and patterns. No two look alike, and that’s exactly what makes them so much fun to design.

Here’s a look back at a few of our favorites over the years. 🤍

A beautiful kitchen is the result of hundreds of decisions, and it’s our job to make sure they all work together.

From the layout and cabinetry to lighting, finishes, storage, hardware, and the smallest details, every selection is considered as part of the whole. The result? A kitchen that not only looks beautiful, but functions beautifully for the way you live.

Luxe Studio Design is now booking new projects. Let’s create something that feels entirely yours.

Behind The Design

Our studio is where we gather with clients, spread out the samples, and start bringing a space to life. Fabrics, tile, rugs, custom pillows, artwork, accessories, and plenty more are always within reach, thanks to the incredible vendors and makers we’re fortunate to work with.

Some of our best ideas begin right here, around the table, building flat lays, comparing finishes and finding those unexpected combinations that make a home feel personal. We love welcoming clients into the studio and making them part of the process from the very beginning.

Where to invest vs. where to save?

I always encourage my clients to invest in the pieces that make the biggest impact on how a home looks, feels, and functions. Thoughtful lighting, custom window treatments, beautifully crafted millwork, and a sofa designed for the space are details you’ll appreciate every day and for years to come.

When it comes to decorative accents and trend-driven pieces, that’s where I’m more inclined to save. Those are the layers that can evolve with you, and sometimes a small change is all it takes to make a room feel new again.

Q&A with Amanda, Part 3.

This month marks 10 years of Luxe Studio Design, so I’m looking back at where it all began, what I’ve learned along the way, and the people and projects that have shaped the studio into what it is today. Ten years in, I’m incredibly grateful for what we’ve built and even more excited for what’s ahead. 🤍

Q&A with Amanda - Part Two.

I'm sharing a little more about what inspires me, the details I believe give a home its soul, where I encourage my clients to invest, and my favorite part of seeing a project come together.

Have a design question for me? Leave it in the comments - I'd love to answer it in the next Q&A! Warm regards, Amanda

Anatomy of a Space | Talega Kitchen

Classic East Coast style meets California coastal living in this Talega kitchen.

We started with timeless cabinetry and a crisp palette of blue and white, then layered in subtle coastal references, like the rope detailing on the lighting, without letting the space feel overly themed. Dark wood floors ground the lighter palette and bring in that traditional East Coast character we wanted.

Integrated appliances, a custom range hood, and thoughtful cabinetry details give the kitchen a tailored, seamless finish while making it distinctly personal to our clients.

The result feels coastal, but still classic. A kitchen designed to look just as good years from now as it does today.
