Meet Some Of The Team 🇺🇸
Sgt. Eddie Wright joined the Marine Corps in October of 2000. Sgt. Wright graduated boot camp in January 2001. Sgt. Wright received the Military Occupational Specialty of 0311 Marine Corps Rifleman out of the School of Infantry and was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal.
Sgt. Wright was assigned to Bravo Company 1st Plt. 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Bn. In March of 2001. Sgt. Wright deployed to the Middle East in 2003 and participated in the first stage of the war in Iraq (OIF I).
Upon returning to the U.S. Sgt. Wright
received orders to 1st Reconnaissance Bn. Camp Pendleton, CA. Soon after arriving Sgt. Wright reported to BRC (Basic Reconnaissance Course), EWTGPAC (Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific, Coronado, CA.) he received the MOS of 0321 Reconnaissance Marine. Sgt. Wright deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in February 2004. April 07, 2004 Sgt. Wright was struck by a rocket propelled gr***de during an ambush. For actions on the battlefield Sgt. Wright was awarded the Bronze Star with combat distinguishing device authorized. The next 14 months Sgt. Wright spent recovering from wounds received in combat at the National Naval Medical Center Bethesda, MD and Walter Reed Medical Center, Washington, DC. Upon sufficient recovery Sgt. Wright returned to active duty as a hand to hand combat instructor at the MACE Marine Corps Martial Arts Center of Excellence, TBS Quantico, VA. Sgt. Wright remained instructing until he was medically retired in May of 2006. Since retirement Sgt. Wright has worked in the private sector in the defense industry off and on and has worked as a consultant for the Institute for Defense Analysis and enjoys motivational speaking, especially with “at risk” high school kids and juvenile offenders. Sgt. Wright was married to the love of his life on May 5, 2018. He and his wife Alder live in the Seattle area.
