I’ve been taking some time to get used my “new” 300mm f/5.6 reflector lens. It’s nice to work in manual mode sometimes, I feel a little more active in the photography process, in contrast to the usual aperture priority mode I normally shoot in. The images with sealife were taken at La Jolla Cove in La Jolla, California. The little bird was from my yard.

Photo from DPreview.com I bought my a6000 close to two years ago as an upgrade to my Nikon 1 j1, and it's been awesome to work and learn photography with. There's no need to list all of the numbers and specs, this camera was released in 2012, check out DPReview if you want that sort of thing. It's not a perfect camera, but for its price and intended audience it's a fantastic camera even 8 years after its launch. [ 574 more words ]
