Google Voice is now starting to support Multimedia Messages like Picture Messages. This is a big deal for those of us who use our Google Voice number as our primary contact. In the past if anyone tried to send a picture to your google voice number you wouldn't know about it, not only would you not get the message but, you wouldn't even get any kind of indicator. For now Google Voice is only fully supporting MMS for those who have Sprint, but they are working on getting the rest of the carriers on board. In the meantime for the rest of us who don't have Sprint we just get a notification that someone sent us an MMS, you still don't get the message sent to you but at least you know someone tried to send you something.
If you don't already have a google voice number, you should get one. Its free at google.com/voice they also have a free app
