A user-centered design is much more than art, it's a whole ideology. Principles of which we should always keep in mind.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀
Users follow their instinct when interacting with a product. To put it simple, if a user comes across a button, they assume that clicking the button will meet their goals. Understand the user's mental model when designing your product.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆
This can be considered an essential principle in product design. Using the same familiar patterns, colors, even lines within the same or similar functions and scenes makes the product more recognizable. We recognize brands even if the brand names are not mentioned or only partial feature of the original design is present.

𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆
Nowadays, users are impatient. With the abundance of products on the market, if it’s not clear what you want them to do or what you offer, they will simply move on to the product out of confusion and frustration.

𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆
Avoid using technical terms as it often makes a product seem needlessly complicated and hard to use. The language of the product ought to be written in simple terms and resemble a typical user’s thoughts, instead of a very technical person.

𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀
Anticipate the user making a mistake and allow it. It may not always be user’s fault, but a design flaw. Upon making a mistake, the user should be provided with information which can guide him in the right operation direction.

There have been discussions popping up lately about how estimation is unneccessary and time-wasting, how perhaps we are ought to exclude it from our process altogether. Which from a certain perspective can be true and provides compelling arguments.

Jeff Meyerson delivers content every single day, so you will never run out of stuff to listen to. Jeff does a great job of delving into each topic with a passion and bringing listeners closer to an array of topics ranging from cloud, data science, open source, blockchain, and software development.

𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻.𝗰𝗼𝗺 - Programming banter and chit-chat. Patrick Wheeler and Jason Gauci a programming language and extensively talk about it for an hour while also taking about industry news and general technology. The only drawback is that it only comes out once a month.

𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀.𝗻𝗲𝘁 - Both extremely entertaining and informative. The format is quite laid-back and the content is delivered in a way that you feel like you're talking to another developer. The topics are all generally programming-related with a slight bias towards .Net.

𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱.𝗳𝗺 - If you have an interest in embedded software and electronics, this will be your pick. Guests range from makers, entrepreneurs, educators, and normal, traditional engineers.

𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.𝗰𝗼𝗺 - Great guests, great delivery, what more is there to say. Presented as "your one-stop podcast for all things Agile" hosts stay on top of the latest industry topics and invite agile thought leaders on on their podcast like Mary and Tom Poppendieck.

Mobile apps have become an essential part of any business strategy, as consumers are expecting more from their devices, companies have started to explore and invest in new approaches to mobile app development. So let's take a look at some of the Android trends that we have seen on the rise lately.

- AR
Short for Augmented Reality, it is something that is starting to become more commonplace. A game that truly sparked it all and made AR something more common was Pokemon Go. Now according to Statista that there are over 997 million standalone AR apps downloads and the figure will continue to raise.

- Kotlin
A programming language that is relatively new but has increasingly rose in popularity. Netflix, Uber, Basecamp and Coursera are already actively using it. Kotlin is fully compatible with and runs on a the JVM (Java Virtual Machine).

- IoT
By 2020 there are expected to be over 20 billion connected devices. From smart homes, to smart TVs and even smart coffee machines. The one thing people always have with them is their smartphones. Controlling all of the smart devices from a tiny device that is always there with is proves to be more than convenient.

- Blockchain
With the rise of Bitcoin the entire world finally started taking cryptocurrencies seriously. But blockchain technology is not just about cryptocurrencies. For example a digital budget book of all the currency transactions that can keep track of anything of value.
