We're thrilled to share that Octave was selected as a Finalist in the Health category of Fast Company's Innovation by Design Awards. 🏆

Recognized for how we're reimagining care management for multiple sclerosis (MS) with our MS Precision Care Solution, the Health category honors products, services, and environments designed to improve people’s health and solve problems in the healthcare industry.

Octave and DesignMap Inc. partnered to create this platform in response to the challenges faced by patients with symptoms that are difficult to distinguish from daily life, and neurologists, who have limited tools, data and time to provide the best care.

At the heart of what we do is a deep desire to help teams make an impact on the lives of users. Even the most brilliant design falls short if it never reaches its intended audience! 🚢

"Hey Everyone—we did it!" That is the message shared in the final DesignMap employee mailer of 2022. The latest box is all about the importance of craft, quality, simplicity, utility, flexibility and focus. The box includes:

+ A simple, durable, eco-responsible, Heath apron to inspire us to approach preparing meals as an opportunity to create, experiment, learn—and maybe even achieve a moment of flow!
+ A Women in IxD calendar to remind us to be mindful about what we choose to take on as we plan for the year ahead.
+ A Heath Ceramics container with a walnut lid. The lid is engraved with the DesignMap labyrinth mark. A mark that symbolizes the journey of understanding, synthesis, and creation we often navigate with clients. It serves as a reminder that the path to our destination is rarely linear!

While none of us know what the next year will hold, we couldn't be happier to enter 2023 with our amazing team!

👋🏻 💻 As we continue to work mostly remote now we strive to continue to foster connections where we can set work aside and do something a bit different from the everyday. Especially something that can support an effort like Pysanky for Ukraine 🇺🇦

This DesignMap Virtual Event was for Pysanky for Peace

We definitely needed a bit more time for this but still a great opportunity for us to come together for a 90 minute remote crafting session, and share our challenges of decorating elaborate symbols of encouragement, hope, and peace on a hollowed out goose egg. Not your regular American Easter Egg dye party!

Our patience and intention sparked us to keep going. It wasn’t easy yet we learned so much on how we think, inspire and approach challenges!

Definitely a few laughs, and sighs along the way and a new found respect for the art of Pysanky!

It’s been a minute! But we’ve been working away at adapting and transitioning to a new way of hybrid working.

Our company culture team has been formulating a fun and engaging way to connect with one another remotely! We are calling it “DesignMap Spotlight”. A talk show style format with our own DM twist. Spotlighting is our way of giving a platform and highlighting the unique qualities and stories that makes each individual at DM come alive, not only as humans in an ever changing world but as creators in our role at DesignMap!
