We had the transaction processor freeze up for part of a day again earlier this week. We’re trying to keep a closer eye on it to restart it if this happens again. We’ve cleared all of the gloebit transactions that got stuck during this period.

In addition, we completed two PayPal withdrawals which had gotten stuck in August.

It looks like we still have one stuck sell order placement and 8 stuck purchases which we will work on next.

We had some issues with the transaction processor earlier this month. We purged transactions after that event and hadn’t properly completed them. That resulted in additional failures and slowness since then as well as unexpected “insufficient funds” failures. We’ve now properly completed most of the stuck transactions and hope the processor remains stable.

We have some additional work still on any stuck gloebit sales/purchases and we hope to get through those this week.

We are aware that some users are getting errors or inaccurate balances when selling gloebits or cashing out, and we believe these are related and will be resolved together. We’ll update once we’ve completed the stuck gloebit purchase/sale transactions

Today, we had a DNS issue. It is fixed. It should propagate and resolve shortly.

We've completed or cancelled most of the stuck transactions from early October. It looks like there are a handful of Gloebit purchases/sales that we need to review to see if people's payment methods were charged and if they received their funds.

A number of transactions have been stuck starting around the beginning of October. We believe the root cause is a combination of a major issue that AWS had, a LetsEnctrypt root certificate issue, and possibly some grid-specific issues.

This caused users to not see transaction completion messages, for product to not be delivered timely, and for users to receive insufficient funds messages when trying to make purchases.

As of last night, we have resolved some of these issues and completed about 3/4 of the stuck transactions. We are still receiving 500 error messages from some grids when attempting to call in to tell them to complete the remaining stuck transactions. We are continuing to work on these and will eventually forcibly complete or cancel them if necessary.

We do use LetsEncrypt. If you have a very old system, you may need to update it or install an updated root certificate.

Older devices and browsers could run into trouble after September 30.

We have restored our email capabilities. Password resets, email confirmations, app creation permission requests, contact-us page, and any other functionality which required an email be sent should now be working again.

We believe we've resolved our performance issues tonight. We'll see how it performs during high load times. We've also restored the ability to sign up for new accounts

05/24/2021

We have restored email sending, so related functionality such as password resets, confirming of emails, and our contact-us form should now work. New account signups have an issue which will be fixed with our next deploy. We are still working on the performance issues

We're back up

05/10/2021

We're aware that there have been some performance issues since we restored the service. We have a list of things to try to get back to the transaction speed we expect and we're working through that list. Some of these will involve upgrading components which will cause short outages as we work out the kinks. We are aware that there is currently an outage from one of the performance improvements we were testing and we're working on fixing it to restore the service.

05/09/2021

We have restored the website and API. It seems to be responding a little slower than we'd like and we're continuing to work on performance. Also, we have an issue we're still working to resolve where our service can't send emails. We decided to restore everything without email capabilities as most functionality doesn't require it, but anything that does (such as password resets, confirming email addresses, and requesting permission to create apps) will not work yet.
