Veloloop You have a right
To take a left! The Veloloop triggers inductive loop sensors so you get detected at traffic lights just like a car does.

Dear Veloloop followers,
We are looking for bicycle and motorcycle manufacturers to partner with us to design-in the Veloloop to their bikes. We have been unable to make a version for motorcycles that fits a lot of bikes, or a bike version that can retail for less than $99. That's why we're looking for real manufacturers to use their expertise to design something that fits, and at a good price.

We did make bicycle Veloloop prototypes that no longer needed a $3 magnet, and used a rechargeable LiPo battery, but the custom enclosure cost negated the cost savings for these upgrades. We had two versions of the motorcycle Veloloop, but we would need dozens of versions to fit a large portion of the motorcycles out there.

If anyone has connections at any motorcycle, bicycle, or e-bike manufacturers, please let me know so I can let them know of the Veloloop and how it can differentiate their bikes from competitors. This could also be an aftermarket offering by an accessory maker with superior design skills.

Thanks for following this page all this time! I'll post updates here when there's something to report.

The Veloloop 2.0 is coming! This is the version for bicycles. It doesn’t need a spoke magnet, so it will be even easier to install than version 1.0. Road bikes, MTBs, Hybrid bikes, fat bikes, freakbikes and even velocars will be able to use Veloloop 2.0.

Pics of the versions for motorcycles are coming soon.

Remember the video for our first Kickstarter campaign? We’ve changed the ending and posted it on our website (via YouTube) so people can learn about the Veloloop without waiting for our second Kickstarter campaign. The second campaign will offer Veloloops for both bicycles and motorcycles/scooters.

Hello. Here at Veloloop, we are shifting our focus to motorcycles and scooters. We had dozens of messages and emails from motorcycle and scooter owners asking for a version for themselves.

Once we have a Veloloop ready for motorcycles and scooters, we will likely relaunch the Veloloop for bikes. We need your help to make this happen.

Motorcycles and scooters have all sorts of different shapes, so we need your help in compiling a collection of photos to help us redesign the antenna, the mount, and the activation system.

Specifically, I would appreciate emails from you with pictures and info about the motorcycles and scooters you have access to. Please send an email to [email protected] with:

1. Make, model, model year of the motorcycle/scooter
2. a side-view picture of the entire motorcycle/scooter
3. a picture or many pictures of the bottom of the motorcycle (The Veloloop needs to mount near the ground.)
4. a picture of the handlebars (The Veloloop will likely need a button to press to tell it when you’re at an intersection.)
5. If you are interested in becoming a beta tester, let me know your city & state.

[email protected] uses gmail, so the email with all the pictures can be up to 20MB.

Sending this info will be very helpful to us! Thank you for it, and thank you for following Veloloop on FB.

The Kickstarter campaign is finally catching on! Kickspy has even predicted that we’ll raise $123K. Bicycling magazine now has a review unit and Fast Company wants to interview me.

I added a second video to the Kickstarter page to address questions about how the Veloloop works, whether magnets work (no they don’t!), and whether the Veloloop will get beat up by rocks and curbs. It uses old footage, so it’s not the cinematic masterpiece that the first video is, but I’m hoping the volume of questions I get will turn into a volume of orders. -Nat
