Thinking about reserving your copy of WIndows 10? Here's what we've found and would recommend against reserving your copy.
• It's not necessary to reserve copy, it can be obtained from the Windows website or from updates
• If updates are set-up to download and install automatically, W10 will be installed as an in-place upgrade
• If installed in-place, Windows 10 can be reverted to the previous OS w/o data loss (theoretically)
• If W10 is installed as a fresh install, you cannot revert to the previous OS and data will be lost
• If your system is compatible w/ W7/8, it should be compatible with W10 (caveat, not all features may be available on older systems)
• The upgrade is free with a valid W7/ W8 key for a year after the official release
• W7 Ultimate will upgrade to W10 Pro
• July 29, 2015 is the 'release date'
