A succession plan is a crucial way to help your organization navigate leadership transitions. Currently, only 33% of employees in succession pipelines are minorities and this limits the potential success of a business as leaders transition out of their roles.

The value of diverse teams in today’s market outperforms non-diverse teams by 35% because they are more creative, innovative, and inclusive about their solutions in every phase of business.

In 2020, Google committed to increasing retention of racial minorities and other minority groups by expanding access to hiring opportunities for underrepresented groups and providing resources to communities historically excluded from the tech industry in order to bring more women and racial minorities into leadership and get better business results.

Google did make some strides. In Google's 2021 Diversity Annual Report Google states, "Hiring changes drove our best year yet for women in tech globally and Black+ and Latinx+ people in the U.S."

Still, just 1.8% of 2020's technology hires in the US were Black+ women and an equal share Latinx+ women. Make more strides towards diversity by becoming part of STRIDES AI, a new AI-based inclusive platform for diverse leaders to connect with senior executives.

STRIDES is making crucial progress in the D&I space by democratizing access to leadership positions for underrepresented leaders. According to a survey from Harvard Business Review, 65 % of readers did not think that their organizations are diverse and inclusive.

What makes inclusive organizations different from those who are not? A particular culture style differentiated diverse and inclusive organizations from those that were not: a learning-oriented culture. Learning-oriented workplace cultures emphasize innovation, flexibility, open-mindedness, failure and feedback and openness to new ideas.

What's the culture at your organization?

Did you know that while nearly 50% of established artists are Black, less than 10% of executives in the music industry at the vice presidential level or higher are Black?

With the help of the Black Music Executives Pipeline Program as part of the initiative, underrepresented leaders in the music industry will get the resources and tools they need in order to build a successful career as an executive in the music industry.

The Black Music Executives Program uses strategies that are fundamental to STRIDES, including one-on-one mentorship and executive training.

A more inclusive future starts with a simple conversation.
