Well said, and what an honor it has been to work on this project and with such a stellar team!
I know there's so much sadness, fear, and anger around, but I want to share something that gives me great joy. After three years of love, sweat and yes, a few tears, but mostly love, a book has been birthed that elegantly tells the history of an amazing cohort of women nursing leaders who graduated from a health care organization and nursing school that took obstacles and innovated their way around them; where diversity (in the 40's, 50's and 60's no less) was valued; where women were expected to lead; where wellness was emphasized along with preventive care vs. illness. THe Kaiser Foundation School of Nursing: A Legacy of Disruptive Innovation by Deloras Jones and Jim D'Alfonso is here. I shouldn't be surprised at how beautiful it looks and feels, but I am. So thrilled it's available starting next week. www.mosscommunications.net
