Hi guys! Happy Spring! 🌷🪻🍄🌸👻
Maybe I’ll finally come out of hibernation. 🤭

Just wanted to pop in and say hi! I’m still here, still alive! And I wear glasses now lol. Design work has been keeping me busy and since Etsy views are 40% lower than last year, I’ve just been focusing on my new clientele, the good ol’ trusty clients, and not really doing any art markets.

Does that mean I’m no longer a night owl? No! 🦉

Instead of staying up late making new products I’ve been obsessively playing Animal Crossing (I know I am so late to the game), turning screenshots from the game into politically cathartic memes 🤓 and just generally just vibing. Which has been a nice change from the last 9 years of my business. 😌 Is it depression? Is it major burnout? Is it old age? Who knows.

I do have a couple new things I’ve made and I want to make some mystery bags of B-grade products. So there is stuff coming.

It’s just hard to feel motivated to make new things when the world feels like it’s on fire and people aren’t spending money on things they don’t really need the way they used to.

So yeah. That’s my update nobody asked for. You all hangin’ in there? 🖤

Working on ornament orders through the weekend! 🎅🏼 I love seeing all the support for small shops. 🖤 Small businesses can all use the support this holiday season after what was a much slower year for many. Your support does not go unappreciated! 🫶🏼

Despite this being my first year of not selling in person, there’s still some magic for me when I’m making your ornaments and filling orders of the fun small stuff like stickers, sticky notes, bookmarks, etc … so thank you!! 🥰

Here are some samples of some of the new ones and some of the old crowd favorites.

The custom ornaments are some of my favorite things to make all year because they mean so much to my customers. They are the perfect way to memorialize loved ones, beloved pets, and special memories. A gift your recipient will treasure year after year as they decorate for the holidays.

I won’t be at any in-person markets this year, so the shop is the way to get my products in hand this year. Everything is in the shopify shop is $20 or under which makes for affordable stocking stuffer options. Shopify link is in my bio and don’t forget — local pickup is free! Orders over $50 also ship free.

Ornament orders will close 12/17 unless I run out of supplies sooner. 🎅🏼

All the old favorites will be available, new ones for 2024 (working on those listings) and customs which are great keepsakes.

More info coming throughout this week!

I didn’t sign up for any holiday markets this year because I just needed some time for me this year. After a solid 10 years of burning the candle at both ends, it’s been uncomfy and weird to pass up market opportunities, but overall I feel it was the right decision.

That being said, many have asked, and YES, my kitschmas ornaments are coming back this year! ⭐️🎄✨

Ornament sales will open up on Black Friday and will be open for a short window. All the old favorites will be available, some new ones for 2024 (sneak peeks on last pic) and custom ornament orders will open up as well.

My shop is always great for one of a kind stocking stuffers and those listings are live. Holiday greeting cards are also up. I hope to make you something special this year even if I won’t likely be seeing you in person. 🖤

Nichos are listed! This year, supply shortages have tested my drive and ability to make these! So I only have the small 3” round altars, but I’m so happy it all worked out to be able to make these! And I’m especially excited to have some specifically for our pets that have crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈🐾🥹

These are available with a wall hanger or chunky strong magnet. And you can order in black, bright assorted colors, and desertscape (browns and yellows).

I’ve been on a little hiatus from markets this summer, but these are the last 3 markets I had signed up for. And I’m not sure I want to do any after that. For various reasons. Maybe I’ll feel different in 2025.

But I’ll never stop making things and they have to go somewhere, so I’ll just drop things into my Shopify here and there and my Etsy will always be stocked because that just sells itself. So maybe not much is changing. I just know I need to prioritize some rest.

I’ve been burning the candle from both ends for years and it’s time for a change. I just don’t quite know what that looks like in terms of the handmade stuff.

Freelance design has been amazing and has grown strong over the past 10 years 🥹, and well, it brings in a lot more💰so that’s going to be my main priority, along with leaving weekends open to spend time with my family. My little guy isn’t going to be little forever. 🥲

So yeah, I have lower prices at in-person markets, so these events are likely the last chances in 2024 to take advantage of that.

This Sunday I’ll be over the hill in San Jose for a Summerween Market and I’m super excited. 🖤

Thank you to everyone that shops or has shopped from either of my two online stores or visited me at various markets— or hosted me at one. That’s what has kept the handmade stuff going, but it’s time for more downtime. 🥱

These will debut this Sunday 8/25 at .makers Summerween Market!! I’m making sure I’m stocked up on all my best selling spooky products and the rest of the cute stuff too.
