Santa Fe ARES The Santa Fe ARES Group is composed of over two dozen women and men from the general Santa Fe area. What is ARES?

Membership is open to any FCC licensed amateur radio operator interested in volunteer public service. ARES is an acronym for Amateur Radio Emergency Service, a public service of the ARRL (Amateur Radio Relay League), the United States' national association of amateur radio operators.
