I landed my dream client 🤩
My Nana. 💛
She loves to give cards that she’s painted or colored herself, and this year she’s putting together something special for her 90th birthday, 70th wedding anniversary and the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Can we just marvel at those numbers for a second?! 😍
My Nana is actually the person who let me explore my creativity the most as a child. Together, we would draw, color and paint all kinds of things for hours. Sometimes it was something my Papa created in his woodworking workshop, other times it was her famous flowers or scenes of the water.
Looking back, I realize one of the biggest lessons she taught me, completely unbeknownst to her, was this:
You don’t always have to be the best, but you have to be the best at enjoying what you’re doing.
There was never pressure to make something perfect. We just created because we enjoyed creating.
And I think there’s something really special about the fact that all these years later, I get to use that creativity she helped nurture to create for a living.
So yeah, I landed my dream client. And don’t worry, Nana… I’ll email you your bill. 😂💛
