“I wish you could see me right now, because I am jumping up and down.”
Two years ago, when I called Elizabeth Phillips to offer her the role of Website & Graphic Designer at Hummingbird Marketing Services, those were the exact words she said to me.
Now, two years later, I feel exactly the same way about her being part of our team.
When Elizabeth Phillips Studio joined Hummingbird, we had a logo, a font, and a simple purple-only color palette. What she built from there was extraordinary. She transformed our visual identity into a true brand aesthetic — complete with accent fonts, expanded colors, textures, inspiration imagery, and a cohesive design presence that immediately elevated our social media and marketing.
And that was only month one.
Then she took our portfolio and completely reimagined it. Instead of simply showcasing work, she created organized, thoughtful mini case studies that tell the story behind each client: why they came to us, how we helped them, and the impact of the work. It was such a meaningful evolution for our brand.
And her website design skills? I could gush all day. Absolutely stunning! User-friendly, intentional, beautiful, and strategic all at once. From RamPaige and Hippie Hounds to Above Average Outcomes and Lynnwood Animal Hospital, Elizabeth consistently creates designs that don’t just look amazing; they work beautifully for our clients and their audience.
She even redesigned our logo for Hummingbird’s 10-year anniversary, and I truly could not be happier with the result.
But what makes Elizabeth so special goes far beyond her design talent.
She is organized, creative, proactive, curious, thoughtful, reliable, driven, honest, and incredibly detail-oriented. She genuinely wants to help. One of my favorite things about working with Elizabeth is the way she approaches collaboration and feedback. She doesn’t just make a design better; she explains why it becomes better, helping everyone around her grow and strengthen their own understanding in the process.
Over the past two years, I’ve also watched Elizabeth grow tremendously in communication, listening, confidence, and leadership. Our team absolutely loves her, and Hummingbird is stronger — both organizationally and aesthetically — because of her.
So today, I am once again jumping up and down with gratitude.
Please join me in congratulating Elizabeth Phillips on her 2-year workiversary at Hummingbird Marketing Services. 💜
