Hiring: Customer Service and Sales Support Associate

Arctic Printing/Savage Color is seeking a person to provide service to clients and support our sales staff. We are two well-established, growing companies who recently combined forces. With a family of long-time team members, we are creating this new position after a retirement. Duties of this job include fielding calls, working with customers, inputing jobs into our Printsmth system, processing direct mailing lists and providing job estimates.
This individual must be familiar digital and offset printing processes, printing job specification, be well versed in Excel and a quick learner. A knowledge of Printsmith or other estimating software is a plus, as is a knowledge of USPS mailing standards and mailing software. We are a small company, so there will be times when we will all need to step in and help with other jobs to meet a deadline.
We offer health insurance, paid personal time off and paid vacation. The compensation will depend upon experience. If you are responsible and detailed individual, looking for a long-term position in a pet-friendly environment working with nice people, we would love to talk with you.

Savage Color, a commercial printing and mailing company in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood. We are looking for a sales professional targeting commercial accounts in the greater Seattle area. If you have outside sales experience we will educate you on printing. If you have a printing background, we will train you for sales. If you have both, bonus, let's talk asap!

You need to be an outgoing, detailed, self-starter. You may work remotely or come to the office daily and be a full-time or part-time employee (you choose). Your salary will be dependent on your experience and whether you choose to work full- or part-time. Your time is flexible, but will you need to come into the office several times a week to coordinate with our estimating and production staff. All training will be in the Fremont office.

Savage Color, a commercial printing company located in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood is looking for an accounting assistant or bookkeeper to join our team. Salary will depend upon experience. This position will be responsible for entering invoices, paying bills, running reports and account reconciliation all using Quickbooks. Plus, depending upon experience and availability, this person could also be responsible for paying state and local taxes along with payroll input. This may be a part-time or full-time position. If full-time, other duties may be added to the job such as spreadsheet/database work. Hours can be flexible and there is a possibility for you to work from home (depending upon your location). However, if working remotely, you will need to work in the office at least one to two days a week.

We are a close group of nice people plus one fairly cute dog. We offer paid vacation/personal time off, health insurance, vision insurance and a bus pass. We also close our shop the week between Christmas and New Years each year.

Savage Color printing in Seattle is seeking an individual to manage our pre-press and digital printing functions. We are a 20-year-old company with a family of long-time team members, but need to replace an individual who is retiring.

Knowledge of both digital printing and pre-press functions is desired, but we are happy to train someone whom has experience in one of the two areas or other relevant experience. Responsibilities include:

- writing up job tickets
- reviewing client files
- adjusting client files for printing or communicating with the client how they need to adjust their files.
- impose files (we use Kodak Preps) for printing
- run files through our RIP
- produce plates for our offset printers
- make color proofs and mock-ups
- print digital jobs as needed, including letters/fliers, direct mail cards and business cards

You must have knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and understand the digital and offset printing process. Lastly, everyone pitches in to answer phones, help walk-ins and work on miscellaneous projects.

Savage Color Printing in Seattle is seeking individuals with knowledge of offset printing and strong customer service skills. We are a 20-year-old company with a family of long-time team members, but need to replace individuals who are retiring.

An ideal candidate knows print estimating, but we are happy to train the right individual. If you don’t know print estimating, knowledge of the following would be helpful:

- layout of press sheets
- paper stocks
- desktop publishing
- offset printing
- prepress for offset and digital printing

You must be competent with Word and Excel and hopefully have knowledge of EFI PrintSmith and the Adobe Creative Suite.

Primarily, you will support sales staff by estimating print work and writing up jobs. We share the responsibility of answering phone calls, helping walk-in customers. When doing so, you must taking ownership to make sure their needs are met.

Other possible job responsibilities may include desktop publishing, laying out jobs on press sheets (imposition, we use Preps), making plates, filing, reviewing completed jobs to ensure billing paperwork is correct and helping out with miscellaneous projects as needed.
