Another fun success story from my client Latrice Barnett, and her new business Barnett 360 Consulting, who benefited from the Seattle Office of Economic Development's ABC Program.
Last year, Latrice had a stable c-suite role, as Chief of Staff to the CEO of a successful Series C startup, after having had a successful eight-year tenure as an RVP/Senior Director at Salesforce. While this work was by any definition rewarding, Latrice felt that there was more that could be done to support smaller companies. After 25 years of shaping and charting leadership paths at larger successful enterprises, she saw an opportunity to share the learnings with smaller companies who aspire to be the next wave of enterprise success stories.
Based on this hunch, Latrice created Barnett 360, a boutique consulting firm that specializes in providing fractional strategic guidance, marketing expertise, and partnership strategies to small and mid-size businesses. Through this venture, Latrice helps business leaders and founders to strategize through various types of transformations (partnerships and go-to-market growth strategies, early stage messaging). By operationalizing strategy with accountability and best practices, Barnett 360 can spin up key initiatives, and does this all at a fractional basis which can be a lower cost of entry for many companies.
With the help of the City of Seattle Government's ABC Program, Latrice was able to connect with designer Kirsti Bush Rochon, and her company Kirsti Rochon Design, who created a lovely and compelling design for Barnett 360. Latrice also worked with tax and accounting professional Astrid Daniela Galvez of Salinas Tax, who guided Latrice through what it takes to handle bookkeeping for a business. Both of these consultants have been critical in establishing Barnett 360 as a real company, and have been instrumental in Latrice's first year of entrepreneurial success!
