Trail Ambassador Program

Trail Ambassador Program If you have a question / comment / program with a trail system that is covered by our program, feel free to message us.

The Trail Ambassador program is a group of dedicated volunteers that work with our land managers, law enforcement and public agencies to assist and report issues on our trail and route systems. The Ride Smart Trail Ambassador Communications Center keeps our volunteer trail ambassadors connected with land managers, law enforcement and most importantly the community in which they serve. Our goal is

to process and manage the logistics of the ambassador's duties such as taking reports, passing along information, monitoring activities of our ambassadors live, and more.

Do we have any trail patrol ambassadors that might be interested in helping staff a Welcome Center / Patrol down at Richard B**g Rec Area in Kenosha County on Saturday, July 10th and/or Saturday, September 18th?

We would be working with Recreation Warden Jason Roberts, possibly other wardens to help share relevant information with many riders who venture there from the southern part of Wisconsin / northern Illinois.

Looking forward to a field day training this Saturday, May 15th at Tigerton OHV Park & Campground. We have 9 new trail ambassadors that have completed their background checks, their classroom prep classes, ready for the hands on field day at the park.

With so many new rider/owners coming into the OHV sport, it's important we keep adding to our ambassador team as we continue our educational work out in the field.

Division 2 TPA classroom training this morning, followed by field day at Camp Sinawa in Manitowoc County. Classroom portion can now be accomplished three different ways:

1) Face to face - site specific
2) Webinar from your location led by instructor(s)
3) Self-paced, online course with mandatory quizzes

All three options require a mandatory hands-on field day after completing the classroom room portion of the training.

It's never been easier to get trained. Tell your riding friends and family.

The Division 1 regional coordinators are conducting a field day "hands on training" for the new ambassador applicants, who are taking the online classroom training this Wednesday and Thursday evening .

The field day is Saturday, July 11 in Tigerton at the Embarrass River ATV Park & Campground starting at 10:00 AM.

If you're already a certified trail ambassador but would like to "tune up" your ambassador skills by participating in the field day only training part, you are welcome to join us. Just bring your Trail Patrol Ambassador wears, your machine and safety gear, plan to arrive about a half hour early to unload and get geared up.

Feel free to let us know if you can join the fun so we can plan accordingly.
