... or stop automatically signing in to Outlook.com. When I open Outlook.com, I'm always automatically signed into my account. I don't want this to happen. According to Help, I just need to uncheck the box to "stay logged in" but that doesn't seem to make a difference. How do I prevent this? If you don't want to stay signed in when you close the browser, don't save cookies....

There is a bug in the current Office update, April 29, 2021 Version 2104 (Build 13929.20296). Microsoft is aware of the issue. The autocomplete menu is larger than in the previous build, lacks the ability to delete entries from the list, and may open upward. There are two issues: the autocomplete list open upward, not down, and you cannot delete entries from the autocomplete list....

As many users have noticed, Outlook on the web, including both Outlook.com and Office 365 business accounts, changed the sort order of Contacts in the address book that comes up when you click the To or CC button. The contacts are in a weird sort order – supposedly most frequent contacts – but one that makes little sense to many users. [ 210 more words ]

Thanks to a change in the address book in Outlook on the web, contacts are listed in most frequently users order, not in alphabetical order.

Windows 7 users are experiencing problems syncing Outlook and iCloud this week. iCloud stopped syncing. When users sign out and sign back in, the are created with an error when they try to enable Calendar & Contact sync. They may also receive an error message that the icloud drive has crashed or is not responding. Your setup couldn't be started because the iCLoud server stopped responding. [ 123 more words ]

A user of Outlook on the web wanted to know if it was possible to create an appointment from an email message. I want to save an email message in my Outlook on the web calendar so I can set a reminder to answer the email at a later date. You can pin messages in Outlook on the web to keep messsages at the top of the Inbox, although it is not practical to pin a lot of messages. [ 80 more words ]

There are a number of articles on the web with instructions on what you need to do to access a deceased family member's Microsoft Outlook.com account. The instructions include contact information that is not longer in user and instructions to send copies of the death certificate by email or fax. Unfortunately, that information is very old and outdated. It's no longer valid and following the advice on these sites will only try your patience at a time when you don't need more stress. With Outlook’s new simplified Account Setting dialog, users have discovered the password field and server settings are no longer accessible through the File, Account Settings dialog.
